Press / Business contact:
Glass Knuckle Games is a studio from Boston, MA focused on creating surprisingly entertaining games. Retro-inspired art direction and rude teen attitudes push us into the future of game development.
HistoryGlass Knuckle's Beginnings
Glass Knuckle was formed by Dave Gedarovich and Brett Davis, two computer science students at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. After collaborating on a number of game jams, 2013 saw the team's first official release: Martin's Descent. A rougelike inspired by text-based GUIs of old, this premiere title found its way into the hearts of tens of gamers. A number of alphas were released that year, including Aurel, the original version of Thief Town, and a twin-stick shooter called Dumbledore64. In 2014, after releasing their final browser game, There Are No Explosions in Space, Glass Knuckle unleashed a groovy mobile dodge-'em-up called Polygon Storm – their first commercial release. Dumbledore64 went through a legally-airtight transformation and emerged as Dumble to rock the iOS marketplace. The Team Doubles
After the rampant success of Dumble, the team began work on two separate projects: a detective murder-mystery game, Noir Syndrome, and a full version of the Wild West stealth party game, Thief Town. These titles were bigger in scale than all projects tackled previously. Dave and Brett added two new members to the roster: James Johnston, a marketing/business consultant, and Owen Watson, an artist. Noir Syndrome was the first Glass Knuckle title to be released on Steam, and Thief Town released at the end of 2014. The team gained the attention of the gaming press and YouTube stars alike, eventually travelling to pre-PAX East parties, the Boston Festival of Indie Games, and MAGFest to bring their largest titles yet to passionate gamers. The team is now hard at work on two new titles, Defragmented and Nauticalth.
