A fundamentally new format and content of this course will allow each student in two months to gain knowledge in game project development and work with the game engine Unreal Engine 4. Throughout the course students will be engaged in the development of their own game in the RPG genre, which later can be presented to a future employer or publisher as a prototype.
The learning process is as close as possible to the real development process and teamwork. Students use tools and software that are used in real-world development. No technical or programming knowledge is required, but it will be a big plus for future employment.
After each lesson, students are encouraged to take a QUIZ test respectively courses. Analysis of basic errors will be given at the end of the next lecture. There are also homework assignments in the course that are part of the coursework, but they will be covered in detail in the designated practical sessions (as well as in your free time via the Discord channel). Students will be able to ask local questions about homework assignments in the general group chat. There will be a total of 3 separate practicum sessions where students’ coursework will be reviewed.
Each student will have their own git repository with their coursework project to work with throughout the course, as well as their own trello column to report on completed assignments.
After completing the course, each student will have their own third-person prototype RPG like Dark Souls. Each student will also receive a certificate.
The most successful graduates have employment opportunities.
